On March 25, 2021, Governor Doug Ducey issued Executive Order 2021-06, which allows all businesses to operate with services and at the capacity that they feel is appropriate and conducting events with more than 50 people without approval of local governments. Ducey Announces New Phase of COVID-19 Mitigation in Executive Order 2021-06 The City's original emergency declaration was issued on June 27, 2020, suspended on September 18, 2020, then reinstated on Novemas the number of COVID-19 cases began rising locally and statewide. In light of declining COVID-19 cases, increasing availability of vaccines, and the latest executive order from Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Sierra Vista Mayor has rescinded the City's emergency declaration associated with COVID-19, effective as of 9 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021.
